The oven is easy to use if you know the right tips and tricks. You can use gas ovens and electric ovens in a variety of ways, so make sure you have the right cooking equipment for your particular oven. All ovens should be cleaned regularly. Clean your oven when you see food scraps and debris accumulating on the floor and oven cabinets.

Gas oven use 

Learn the basics of handling your oven. Before you try to use your gas oven or any other oven, please read the manual for it. This will give you more information on how to turn the oven on and off, as well as how to move the gears and other aspects of how your oven works.

Each oven comes with a grid. Before using the oven, experiment with placing and removing grates. Depending on what you want to create, you will need to adjust the grid height. It is wise to know in advance how to do this.

Learn how to turn on the oven and set the temperature. You usually have to place it on the front of the oven. You can then turn the dome to the correct temperature. Some ovens have signals such as light and moving or audio tone, to indicate that the oven has already warmed up considerably.

Use an oven thermometer. Gas ovens often have high temperatures. Even if you keep the oven at a certain temperature, it can be unexpectedly hot or cold during the cooking process. Give your oven extra time to preheat. If you are using an electric oven, heat your oven as you begin to prepare for cooking. Gas ovens heat up faster, but electric ovens take longer to reach the right temperature.

Use the oven thermometer to make sure the oven is at the right temperature.

Make your utensils in the middle of the oven. Always use a middle rack with an electric oven unless a prescription dictates that something should be placed above or below the oven. This is where the minimum heat fluctuations occur during the cooking process. This will cook your food evenly.

Add vinegar to remove the baking soda. Pour the vinegar over the baking soda paste. Let the vinegar soak until it starts laughing. It will happen very soon. This helps loosen dirt and debris so you can easily clean the oven.

As soon as the vinegar dries, clean the top, bottom and sides of the oven with a sponge. Clean until you have removed all loose dirt and swamp.

When you're done, remove soda, water and other dirt and food debris with kitchen paper.

Put the racks back in the oven. After cleaning the inside of the oven, change the shelves of the oven. Your oven is now clean and ready to use.


Open the oven door as soon as possible during baking, and only when necessary. This saves energy and maintains the temperature.
