 Today on The Stay At Home Chef we are going to tell you how to cook lobster tails in the oven.

 Lobster tails are so easy to cook in the oven. They are the perfect romantic dinner for two lovers,or they're great if you want to feed a crowd and really impress them.

 We're gonna make dinner for two lovers,so to start you'll need 2 lobster tails.

 You'll set them shell side up onto a baking sheet. Then we're gonna take some scissors and we're gonna cut the shell right down the center.

 This is exactly what kitchen sheers are for. Once they're cut you want to fold them open, but then you have to kind of crack the shells a little bit to expose all of the meat inside.

 Once you have that meat exposed,you're done with the hardest part. The rest is so easy. I'm gonna place a stick of butter into a microwave oven safe liquid measuring cup, then I'm gonna pop this in the microwave oven until it's melted.

 Once that's melted I'm gonna whisk in 1 teaspoon of minced garlic, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper,and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.

 We're gonna drizzle this over the tops of our lobster tails. Basically want to smother the lobster meat with that delicious garlic butter.

 Now you can add all sorts of herbs and spices, but I'm keeping things simple because when it comes to lobster tail, nothing beats a little bit of garlic butter. Next you want to preheat your oven onto the broiler oven setting which means there's a top heat going.

 You want to place your lobster tails about 6-8 inches beneath the broiler oven. We're just gonna close this and let them cook underneath the broil oven setting for 5-10 minutes, until the lobster meat turns white and is no longer translucent. If you're using a thermometer,you're looking for 140 degrees Fahrenheit.

 Before you know it,your lobster is done. You can see the tail is turned nice, bright pink, and the flesh inside is white.

 Then you want to serve these up with lemon wedges so that you can squeeze on some lemon juice right before serving. You can also add in more butter. And that's it. These lobster tails are ready to eat.
